A resource does not have to be exclusively for women. Strong general-access resources qualify when they are genuinely useful to women and meet the same verification standard.

Every published resource is organized under one primary topic and may appear under related topics where that helps discovery.

Women of Capital is global, not GCC-only. Discovery prioritizes resources relevant or accessible to women in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, while retaining strong global resources.

Provider headquarters and resource access are separate facts. A provider may be based in one country while offering an online, global or region-specific resource elsewhere.

Eligibility explains who can participate. Access describes whether a resource is open, requires registration, uses an application process, requires membership or has another restriction.

Geography records whether a resource is available in a market, accepts eligible participants from it, focuses on it, or requires in-person attendance there. Visitors should confirm live eligibility and participation terms with the provider.

When the connection is not obvious, the record explains why the resource belongs.

We do not publish resources that cannot be verified against an official source, programs that are no longer active and show no evidence of recurring or future availability, paid promotions or referral offers presented as programs, anything requiring payment for access to basic information, or resources whose provider cannot be identified.

Records move through separate editorial and verification states. Editorial status controls whether a record is public. Verification status describes the strength and recency of the available evidence.

Only editorially Published records appear in the public directory, sitemap, public totals and machine-readable index. Research, draft, review and ready-to-publish records remain private until their evidence and editorial review are complete.

Published records are checked against official resource pages, official organization pages, government sources or credible secondary evidence. Each public record carries a review date and is re-reviewed on a rolling schedule at least once every six months.

What are the six public topics?

The public directory uses six outcome-led topics: Money & Wealth; Career & Leadership; Boards & Governance; Build a Business; Professional Networks; and Investing & Investment Careers.

Is Women of Capital only for the GCC?

No. Women of Capital is a global resource directory with GCC-first discovery. It prioritizes resources relevant or accessible to women in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, while retaining strong global resources.

What is the difference between eligibility and geography?

Eligibility describes who can participate. Geography describes where a resource is available, who may apply from a market, which market it focuses on, or where in-person participation occurs. Neither field should be read as the provider's headquarters unless the record says so.

Does a resource have to be exclusively for women?

No. Women-only, women-focused, women-prioritized and general-access resources may qualify. General-access resources must still offer clear practical value to women and meet the same evidence standard.

What do the verification states mean?

Verified means current evidence supports the public record. Partially verified means important evidence is incomplete. Needs verification means the evidence has not met the publication standard. Verification expired means the record needs a fresh review. Records are published only after editorial approval, and held records do not appear in the public directory, sitemap or public totals.

Editorial inclusion and organic ranking are not determined by payment, sponsorship or referral compensation.

Relevance ranking is based on how closely a resource matches the search terms and filters applied, plus the completeness and recency of its verified record. It is never influenced by payment.

If Women of Capital later introduces paid visibility, it will be stored separately from editorial qualification, clearly disclosed and designed so it cannot be confused with an organic recommendation.

Submissions and correction suggestions enter a moderation queue. They never alter or publish a resource directly.

WOC reviews the evidence, checks for duplicates and applies approved changes to the public record.

An organization can request a correction or removal, or ask to claim and confirm its own record, through the contact form. Every request is reviewed before a public record changes.
